There’s something special about the Gill Islands that keeps people coming back. It’s more than the turquolse water, white sandy beaches, or spectacular sunsets. It’s the people, the storles, and the sense of community that make these tiny Islands unforgettable.

In this edition of mygilis, we celebrate the experlences that define island life. From uncovering elght of the best bars across the Gilis and diving into the Islands’ legendary party scene, to spending time with rising Lombok musician Rizal Alfaro, whose passion and determination are shaping his Journey In music.

We step back in time with a visit to Peaky’s Barbershop on Gill Air, where vintage style meets modern grooming, and join the Island’s favourite Sunday tradition at Gill Teak, Gili T – where great food, familiar faces, and beachfront sunsets bring the community together each week.

You’ll also find inspiring culinary creations from Chef Phil Mowforth, honest reviews of some of the Islands’ finest restaurants and resorts, a look inside the beautiful Casa Cosmos Boutique Villa, and highlights from local events that showcase the vibrant spirit of the Gills.

Whether you’re planning your first visit or you’re one of the many who now call these Islands home, we hope this edition inspires you to slow down, explore a little further, and discover the places and people that make the Gilis so extraordinary.
