Villa Bulat, Gili Air - A Serene, Circular Couples’ Retreat

Tucked away in a quiet corner of the Kalyana Villa resort on Gili Air, Villa Bulat stands apart from the norm with its striking circular design. While modern tropical luxury villa go for the tried and tested sleek, straight lines, this villa is all about curvaceous style.

These flowing curves shape its layout and functionality, with sculpted rounded walls and curvy room dividers giving it a calmer feel. It is a mostly wooden structure, including the façade and furniture, complemented by smooth ceramic flooring.

It boasts a very textured, visual appeal with intricate geometric carved patterns throughout. The flowing lines and high ceilings allow natural sunlight to fill the open plan living area and bedroom. It is a unique artisan inspired haven.

 

Accommodating up to three guests, Villa Bulat is an ideal couple’s retreat but large groups shouldn’t discount it. It has a connecting door with the adjacent Villa Antara, enabling stays for up to eight guests.

Villa Bulat’s layout is designed for privacy and upmost functionality – it makes full use of the indoor space but never feels cluttered in any way. The main space combines a lounge area with plush seating, a dedicated dining area and a well-equipped, modern island kitchen.

The bedroom is spacious with an elegant period feel, with carved wood wall ornamentation, a large king bed and ample wardrobe space. The en suite bathroom has a large overhead shower and vanity area. In-room amenities include unlimited tea, coffee, plus a mini bar, a work space and high-speed Wi-Fi. Guests receive daily breakfast.

It leads out onto the spacious, enclosed pool deck and manicured garden. The inviting private pool and outdoor seating allows for socialising or simply taking a dip and whiling away a hot afternoon chilling by the water’s edge. Indoors and out, every effort has been taken to emulate the natural flow of life seamlessly.
