Mawi Valley

Mawi Valley is a master-planned residential development taking shape among the green hills of South Lombok, close to Mawi Beach and Selong Belanak. Designed as a low-density, nature-oriented community, the project combines contemporary villa architecture with generous plots, open landscapes and shared amenities designed around family life, wellness and outdoor living.

Rather than following a conventional resort model, Mawi Valley is planned as a residential community where homeowners can create their own private gardens, outdoor spaces and family environments while remaining connected to the surrounding landscape.

Three distinct villa designs

Mawi Valley offers three architectural concepts: Mawi Akyli, Mawi Mentari and Mawi Zen. Each has its own architectural character while following the wider development philosophy of open-plan tropical living and integration with the natural terrain.

The villas are available in different configurations ranging from two to four bedrooms, depending on the design and plot. The Mawi Akyli, for example, can be configured as a two-, three- or four-bedroom residence, with private swimming pool, terraces and generous living areas.

The villas are positioned across spacious hillside plots, allowing residents to enjoy varying combinations of valley, sea and sunset views.

Sustainability at the core

Sustainability is incorporated into the wider planning of Mawi Valley. The development’s approach includes solar energy, natural ventilation, insulated construction, rainwater collection and greywater recycling.

Locally sourced, renewable and recycled materials are also part of the design philosophy, including bamboo and recycled timber. The master plan additionally prioritises generous green areas and lower-density construction to retain natural habitats and biodiversity.

The development is also designed around the existing landscape rather than treating the land simply as a building site. Green zones, planted areas and agricultural land form part of the wider environment.

A community designed for family life

Family living is central to the Mawi Valley concept. Large plots provide space for gardens and children’s play areas, while shared facilities are intended to encourage interaction between residents.

The planned community amenities include a children’s play area, garden café, communal pool and animal area. Hiking trails provide opportunities to explore the surrounding landscape, while the sports facilities create additional spaces for recreation and community activities.

Sports, surf and wellness

Mawi’s proximity to its renowned surf break naturally forms part of the lifestyle. The development is also planned with an active outdoor lifestyle in mind, including a padel court, multifunctional sports court and skate bowl.

For wellness and recovery, the planned facilities include a yoga shala, gym, sauna, ice bath and magnesium bath. These amenities are intended to bring exercise, recovery and relaxation into everyday residential life rather than treating wellness as an occasional resort experience.

Taking shape in South Lombok

Mawi Valley has progressed from the planning stage into active construction. The April 2026 construction update reported that major infrastructure, including retaining walls and drainage systems, had been completed, while construction of the first four villas was underway. The development also reported 253 of 320 planted trees growing within its green zone at that stage.

Located on Jl. Pantai Mawi near Selong Belanak, Mawi Valley offers a residential concept centred on nature, architecture, family life, wellness and outdoor activities. Its position between the hills and the South Lombok coastline places homeowners close to Mawi Beach while retaining the sense of space and seclusion created by the valley setting.
